Comprehensive Financial Management
At Benefit Design Corporation, we are dedicated to sharing Biblical financial precepts with individuals, families, family-owned businesses and Christian ministries. We believe laying hold of these precepts sets us free from burdens God never intended for us to bear as we exchange our claims of ownership for the management responsibilities inherent in faithful stewardship.
We are an independent, fee-based financial planning and investment management firm providing comprehensive planning solutions and disciplined investment management for all whom we serve. Our counsel incorporates Biblical principles applied to each client's personal financial goals and aspirations.
• Financial Planning – We work with our clients to develop a comprehensive financial plan which includes estate planning, investment management, strategic tax planning, risk management, and cash flow analysis. Your cash flow analysis will incorporate considerations for your giving goals, education planning, retirement income needs, the anticipated impact of inflation on your pensions and savings during retirement, and portfolio simulation analysis. Simulations of your goals and retirement asset allocations will outline the historical and projected probabilities of your attaining these goals, helping you answer the question, "How much is enough?"
For family-owned businesses, we analyze your business structure and financial commitments to determine the most tax-efficient compensation package for you as owner. We provide benefit cost analysis and business valuation services. We also work with you to develop a timely, well thought out, tax efficient business transition strategy.
Our comprehensive financial management review allows us to help our clients address two biblical responsibilities given us as stewards: 1) to provide for our families (1 Timothy 5:8) 2) to pursue those uses of our time, talent, gifts and resources that have eternal value (Matthew 6: 19-21).
• Investment Management - We are disciplined investment managers who go to great lengths to utilize rigorous research methods that inform us as to when to buy and when to sell. Our investment management efforts are dedicated to excellence in Biblically-Responsible Investing (BRI). BRI is a distinctly Christian form of Socially Responsible Investing. Our research identifies those companies whose behavior is in conflict with our deeply held beliefs so that we can avoid being co-owners of them.
If You Could Invest In This Manner, Why Wouldn't You?
We view this additional due diligence on our part as a logical extension of the stewardship responsibilities God has entrusted to us. Our BRI portfolios include both separate account management as well as professionally managed mutual funds. Our objective is to provide investment vehicles for investors who desire to make moral choices in their investment portfolio allocation process. • Free Initial Consultation - To introduce the financial planning and advisory services provided by Benefit Design Corporation, and to determine if you may benefit from an association with our firm, we offer a complementary one hour initial consultation. Here each of us gets a chance to see where help may be required and what results you can look forward to through working with us. During this time together, we'll review your goals and objectives, the resources you're currently directing towards these goals and objectives, your current tax position and potential strategies for paying less in taxes. We'll also review with you current investment realities, as we see them, and how we may help you with the various services necessary to develop and manage a viable financial management program.
• How We Work With You - Our client's best interests are our primary objective. For that reason, we believe financial advisory firms should be fee-based, not commission or transaction oriented. This approach combines our interests with yours as we monitor and enhance your progress towards your goals. For a complete description of our fee schedule, we provide all prospective clients with our most recent SEC Form ADV, which we annually file with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the regulatory body of Registered Investment Advisors. A range of typical charges would be:
For ongoing asset management services, tax planning and goal monitoring, our compensation ranges from 0.5% to 1.45% of the portfolio value per year.
For businesses or charities who wish to make our advisory services available to their employees and affiliates, we offer these services on a retainer basis with group pricing.
For analysis of individual planning areas, such as a retirement income analysis or education funding anlysis, we will provide these services based on planning time at our hourly billing rate.
For a comprehensive financial analysis, and for strategic planning recommendations, we work for you on a previously agreed upon flat fee. Typical planning engagements incur fees of $1,000 to $3,000.
Clients should periodically re-evaluate whether the use of an asset-based fee continues to be appropriate in servicing their needs. A list of additional considerations, as well as the fee schedule, is available in the firm's Form ADV Part II as well as the client agreement.
